OUR SCHOOL

Gaelscoil Uí Chéadaigh was initially established in 1995 to cater for the growing demand from parents in the Bray area for an all-Irish school education for their children.

The school achieved official recognition from the Department of Education & Skills in 1998 and is developing since then.

In 2000 the school moved to its present location on Vevay Road to what was the former St. Cronan’s school building, originally built in 1932.

In 2011 the new wing was built and the old building was renovated. This state of the art, 8 classroom school is now bright and spacious and provides a fitting and delightful space for children, staff, parents and the wider community.

Gaelscoil Uí Chéadaigh is an All-Irish, Co-educational, Catholic school.

The school operates in accordance with the rules laid down by the Department of Education.

Gaelscoil Uí Chéadaigh is under the Patronage of An Foras Patrúnachta na Scoileanna Lán-Ghaeilge.

All children, irrespective of linguistic, social, religious background or nationality are welcome in the school.

There is active participation by parents in the daily life of the school, while positively affirming the work of the teachers.
