IRISH SCHOOL

A school in which all subjects (apart from English) are taught through the medium of Irish in an attractive encouraging environment.

Irish is the language of the school community between children, teachers, management and parents when possible.

We use an immersion model of education. English is taught from the second term of Senior Infants onwards.

We encourage the use of Irish in the home, the “cúpla focal” short phrases or sentences now and again. A positive attitude towards Irish in the home consolidates the work we do at school.
